On May 22, 2025, Burnsville celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking of its new Police City Hall, a facility designed to enhance public safety and strengthen operations in the community.
Â
Event speakers included Community Development Director – Jeff Thomson, Mayor – Elizabeth Kautz, Police Chief – Tanya Schwartz, and City Manager – Gregg Lindberg. Many from the CNH Architects team – including Principals Quinn Hutson and Brooke Jacobson – were in attendance with their families, along with members of Kraus Anderson Construction. Their collective vision for the new facility reflects Burnsville’s commitment to providing a secure and efficient space for the public – as well as law enforcement professionals who serve and protect residents.
Â
This lively celebration brought the community together with food trucks, music, and bounce houses. Families enjoyed face painting, exploring city vehicles, signing construction materials, and checking out heavy equipment. CNH answered questions and provided a full set-up of visuals, including an interactive experience that allowed users to explore the facility using virtual reality on their phone devices.

The Burnsville Police City Hall is designed with the community’s experience at its core. The facility will feature modernized operational areas and dedicated spaces for community engagement, responding effectively to the evolving needs of Burnsville. Stay tuned for updates as Burnsville moves forward with this exciting project.
