Burnsville Fire Station No. 1 broke ground in September and is progressing through the winter toward an October 2021 completion. The nearly 45,0000 square feet facility is literally starting to take shape.
Recent progress updates include:
- Manhole opening for training has been cut and filled
- Walls of the fitness, laundry, dayroom, and dining areas are taking shape
- Steel columns, beams, and joists have been stockpiled on site
- The scaffolding and enclosure are setup along walls of apparatus bays
