As the primary architect for Ziegler Caterpillar, CNH Architects recently remodeled the cafeteria area at the Ziegler facility in Bloomington, MN. The update provides a variety of comfortable seating for varying groups including a Café, Lunch Meeting Room, Micro-Market, and Kitchenette areas. The café is a welcoming atmosphere with an industrial feel that ties into the industrial surrounding areas and rooms. Perforated metal panels used to separate the seating and “grab-n-go” areas lend to the industrial feel. They also serve as an innovative divider to reduce sound transfer. The space incorporates a three-sided fireplace with clear-coated plate steel, as well as a linear wood acoustical ceiling. As always, CNH worked closely with the client to ensure their 100% satisfaction with the end result.
