On October 11, community members, firefighters, city leaders, and project partners gathered at Rosemount Fire Department Station No. 2 for a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the start of a major facility improvement project.

Held in conjunction with the station’s annual Fire Safety Open House, the event marked an important milestone in Rosemount’s ongoing investment in public safety infrastructure. Guests enjoyed educational demonstrations, opportunities to meet local first responders, and a ceremonial groundbreaking that officially launched construction of the station improvements.

The Fire Station No. 2 project will modernize and expand the existing facility to better support emergency operations and future staffing needs. Planned improvements include expanded apparatus accommodations, firefighter support spaces, offices, meeting and training areas, and facilities designed to support around-the-clock staffing. City officials have identified the project as a key step toward improving emergency response capabilities for the growing Rosemount community.

As architect for the project, CNH Architects is proud to partner with the Rosemount Fire Department and the construction team in creating a facility that is an important investment for Rosemount’s future. The facility is anticipated to reopen in Fall 2027.
