Architect’s 53-flight stair climb fights cancers

For the past nine years, Brooke Jacobson, an architect and associate principal with CNH Architects, has participated in “The Big Climb MPLS,” a community stair-climbing event to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

State’s top security prison set for shower upgrades

A shower remodeling project designed by CNH Architects for inmates at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Oak Park Heights is set to significantly improve about 40 ceramic tile showers, many of them dating to the prison’s start in the early 1980s.

“They don’t have multiple inmates in one shower,” said CNH Architects Principal Wayne Hilbert.

Certified interior designer listens

The Bloomington firm needed a new and larger space to bring several separate offices together, and the owners wanted a design centered on staff and their needs.

The ‘C’ in CNH’s firm 50-year foundation

The rich history of CNH Architects began at the close of the 1960s, late in the year. Architect Glenn W. Cording started a new firm in downtown Minneapolis, Glenn W. Cording and Associates, Inc.

Principal Wayne Hilbert worked with Cording before he retired in the early 1980s. The founder passed away in 2017 at the age 92.

“Glenn had great concern for his clients and established this as a strong part of our corporate culture, something we still believe in today,” said Hilbert.
