Volunteer: Senior Designer’s dog foster are enters next round

Senior Designer Al Tsai at CNH now has a 4-year-old in the house, Lucky, and he’s a dog.

His family offers a friendly place for such animals, and has a special relationship with Secondhand Hounds, a Minnetonka-based pet adoption agency.

Thus, the established pooch and the Tsai family recently welcomed a new companion. Mimi, a 3-year-old Maltipoo (miniature poodle and Maltese mix) will be adopted soon and is staying with the Tsais for a while.

“Because the need is great, we are looking to foster all the time, but it is definitely a juggling act for us,” Tsai said. The family has a vision to adopt more dogs in the future, but the fostering is always fun and enjoyable in the meantime, the architect said.

Foster families with Secondhand Hounds cover each other’s schedules. Tsai said the group is well organized and has a large base of foster homes.
