Improvements at the Central Maintenance Facility property for the City of Eagan are proceeding with assistance from CNH Architects.
Plans include a new automated vehicle wash, a 22,000 square-foot heated vehicle storage building, demolition of the existing material storage building and a schematic design for the office, staging and lunchroom portions of the existing building, explains Architectural Designer Jessica Johnson with CNH Architects.
With multiple buildings, the Central Maintenance Facility hosts operations for the City's equipment, streets, parks, utility maintenance and water resource operations. A space needs evaluation was completed in 2014.
"The City is also in need of a facility asset management plan, which will provide maintenance budgeting for multiple buildings and assets on the central facility's campus," she explained.
Demolition and construction are tentatively scheduled for next summer.
